Great Valentine’s Day Desserts

I must admit that neither Amy nor I are big fans of Valentine’s Day.  Too many bad high school memories perhaps?  We are, however, big fans of dessert and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for a decadent dessert.  So whether you are celebrating with a special someone or great friends, here is some inspiration!

Laura’s picks:

Boozy Hazelnut Chocolate Souffle by Diethood: Souffles aren’t too hard, and they are kind of romantic, right?  Plus, you should know by now how much I love booze in my desserts!

3 ingredient Souffle Cheesecake by Sweet and Savory: My husband loves cheesecake and I am intrigued by this version with only three ingredients and a lighter texture.  Hmmmm.

Kahula Crunch Cake by Bakers Royale: This just sounds amazing!  Rich chocolate cake and a Kahula spiked frosting!

Chocolate Lava Cake for Two by Budget Bytes: If you are watching your pennies or want to be sure you don’t have any dessert left over, this recipe is perfect since it only makes two servings.  I made this one Valentine’s Day and they were delicious!

Amy’s picks:

Peanut Butter Ball Stuffed Chocolate Cupcakes by Love from the Oven – Can’t go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate, especially when frosting and cake are involved.

Clementine Cake with Citrus Curd from Call Me Cupcake – This site has beautiful pictures and incredible recipes. Definitely check it out.  The clementine cake promises a lovely burst of citrus.

Lemon Raspberry Pie Crust Hearts from Joy the Baker – Because you know I love pie crust.  And since I’m making Valentine’s dessert for me, I can make whatever I want.

Lemon Cheesecake with Fresh Berries from My Baking Addiction – Since no dessert list is complete without two cheesecakes, here’s a second one that looks yummy.
