So while Amy and I were discussing all the great food that Philly has to offer, we missed a couple great March food based holidays.
St. Patrick’s day, of course, with all of it’s green food or nods to Irish heritage. If you are still craving those flavors, try Amy’s steak pie, one of the few meat dishes on this site! We also missed Pi (∏) day, which is on 3/14 every year and combines geeky fun and food, so it’s right up our alley. Plus we love pie! In fact, Amy’s steak pie works for this holiday too, but those days have passed and won’t be around again till next March.
However, thanks to the internet, we found that we didn’t miss all of the March food holidays! Some seem a little obscure, like National Black Forest Cake Day on March 28, but some are foods we love to celebrate everyday! So in honor of these holidays, here are some are picks to celebrate these foods on their special day, or any day really!
